About this course

AQA GCSE Psychology is an excellent introduction to a wide range of psychological concepts and gives students the opportunity to consider both their own and other people’s  behaviour in much greater depth. It is an ideal course for those who are interested in answering the question, ”Why are people like that?”

There are two units to this course. The topics covered in the first unit are memory, non verbal communication, personality, prejudice and experimental research methods. The second unit includes learning processes, social influence, gender, aggression and non experimental research methods. There is a strong focus on research methods and the scientific nature of psychology throughout the course.

The part time class offers a relaxed environment in which to study GCSE psychology over one academic year. There is often lively discussion and all sessions are supported by summary notes, lectures and examination practice.
