Is the course right for me?
Have you taken A Levels before but want to improve your grades? Or are you keen to fast track your way to a prestigious university for a competitive degree in Law, Medicine or Science? If so, our A Level Special course may be your best option. This course allows you to study for one or more full A Levels in the space of just one academic year. You will be studying your AS and A Level awards simultaneously in the same year and you can choose from any of our 25 different subjects. It may be hard work, but we have a long record of students successfully achieving excellent grades!
What will I be doing?
You will commit yourself to at least 9 hours of class contact during the week if you are taking one subject or 18 hours of class contact if you would like to study two subjects. Depending on the subjects chosen, you can choose to spread your learning over two, three or four days. We are happy to advise you on your particular needs.
Extended Project
Do you want more from your A Levels? Our Extended Project will equip you with real-life problem solving and independent learning skills that will help your transition into Higher Education or work. This rewarding yet challenging experience can be completed alongside your A Level programme. And you can even choose your own topic!
Entry requirements
In order to qualify for our course you must have previously studied for full A Levels and have a minimum of an E grade in at least two of these. We would also expect students to have five GCSEs in academic subjects, with a minimum of C grades. A number of our A Level Special subjects do have subject specific entry requirements and we are happy to discuss individual subjects and requirements.
Assessment
You will be assessed through the method used for each individual subject. This often takes the form of coursework, written tests or exams.
What next?
Depending on your subjects, your A Levels can lead to a range of degrees in a variety of disciplines.
