CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Practice

About this course

This qualification is designed as a general introduction to Human Resource Management equipping you with a wide range of practical HR skills.  It is appropriate for anyone wishing to develop a career in HR or for line managers/team leaders wishing to extend their knowledge of personnel good practice, whilst gaining a recognised qualification.

The Certificate in Human Resource Practice consists of the following subject areas:

• Developing yourself as an effective HR practitioner
• Understanding organisations and the role of HR
• Recording, analysing and using HR information
• Resourcing talent
• Supporting good practice in performance and reward management
• Delivering learning and development activities

The programme includes a Study Skills Workshop, full online tutorial support and access to a range of electronic text books.

Days and times

Part-time: This course if delivered on a Tuesday 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm.  The course runs over a period of nine months from late September to June.
Flexible:  As this is a modular course it can also run on a flexible basis with the following start dates:
6 November 2012
8 January 2013
5 March 2013
7 May 2013

Entry requirements

There are no prior qualifications required for this course other than an interest in HR Management.  In addition to developing your knowledge and skills it provides a gentle introduction to studying, which can be beneficial to anyone who has been out of formal education for sometime.

Assessment

This takes the form of continuous assessment throughout the duration of the course and includes a combination of written assignments, case study work and practical activities.

What next?

On successful completion of this course you can progress to the CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Management followed by the CIPD Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management
