CMI Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Level 7

About this course

This programme builds upon the past operational knowledge and experience of managers by focussing on the more strategic issues of management within an organisation. The programme is intended for the middle to senior manager who has the authority and personal inspiration to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. It is equally valuable for the person who aspires to such a role, by helping them to gain the knowledge and understanding necessary to deliver those outcomes.

The qualification requires satisfactory completion of units from the Diploma programme to the minimum value of 13 credits (2/3 units).  Further units can be added later if you wish to build on the qualification.

The Diploma course from which the units are chosen operates for one academic year (September – June) with monthly workshops (Wednesdays 2pm – 9pm).  There is however, some flexibility built in to accommodate unexpected issues.

The workshops are supported by the College on-line interactive site and tutorials.  Once enrolled, you will also have the benefit of student membership of the Chartered Management Institute.

• Personal development as a strategic manager (6 credits)
• Strategic information management (9 credits)
• Organisational direction (9 credits)
• Organisational Change (7 credits)
• Strategic marketing (6 credits)
• Human resource planning (8 credits)
• Conducting a strategic management report (10 credits)

Assessment

Assessment can include written reports and group work as well as individual and group presentations.

You can study further units to complete the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership.  Completion of the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership can be your first step towards the Masters Degree in Management and Leadership or MBA.
