About this course

This course covers the development of websites using Adobe’s Dreamweaver. It starts with the basics of web design and progresses very quickly to creating an interactive website using some complex features of Dreamweaver.

The course is suitable for those wishing to create their own website or improve an existing site.

The course is mainly practical but some theory is necessary.

Amongst the areas covered are:

  • page layouts, templates & CSS
  • graphics, special effects & animation
  • site navigation
  • forms
  • interactive graphics & simple Flash animation
  • converting images for the web
  • using video
  • search engine optimisation
  • website publication

Entry requirements

The course is suitable for students with no previous knowledge of web design. However, they must have a very good knowledge of the Windows XP operating system.
 
You must be able to work under your own initiative. Having a real website to develop would be helpful to the learning process.
 
The course has a limited number of students.
