Are you ready to take your skills in brickwork to an advanced level? Our Diploma in Construction Brickwork Level 3 is a natural step up from your Level 2 qualification and equips you with the specialised knowledge and experience you need to qualify as a skilled bricklayer. From building a chimneybreast to creating a full sized decorative axed arch, you will explore a range of new techniques that will allow you to demonstrate your expertise and creativity.

What will I be doing?

You will be taught through a variety of methods, including lectures, seminars, tutorials, directed study and practical sessions. You will learn a range of new brickwork techniques, including how to erect, repair and maintain complex masonry structures. You will also carry out structural and decorative brickwork techniques on areas like fireplaces and flues.

In addition to practical training, you will learn how to work out material quantities, communicate with colleagues and carry out safe working practices. You will also learn about the properties and uses of a range of different materials, in addition to planning and managing the construction process.

Additional Costs: You will be required to pay £25 for course t-shirts

Entry requirements

You will need a Diploma in Construction Brickwork Level 2 to apply for the course and a reasonable standard of secondary education, including a minimum grade C in Maths and English.

Assessment

You will assessed on an ongoing basis. Each unit has a number of tasks that you will need to complete to achieve your award. This could include producing drawings and completing project work.

What next?

Your Diploma in Construction Brickwork Level 3 will give you an advantage in a highly competitive and ever changing labour market. It will qualify you to seek immediate work in an apprentice or trainee role, which could progress to a permanent position as a Bricklayer or a Site Agent.
