There is an ever-increasing need in the Electrotechnical Industry for highly skilled Technician Engineers, particularly for young men and women who are well trained and adaptable. This course aims to provide sound basic knowledge of electrics/electronics such that the Technician Engineer will be better equipped to meet the challenge of new technology in the 2000's, together with training in current techniques required by the industry.

Year 2:

Entry requirements
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade A, B or C which should include Mathematics, Physics and either: English Language or a subject demonstrating ability in the use of English Language, or successful completion of a BTEC level 2 qualifications. Consideration will be given for previous appropriate attainments.
Assessment
An essential part of the work in both years will be a programme of assignments. All units are assessed continuously and by final examinations, and are subject to external moderation.
