About this course

This Vocational Qualification in engineering is designed specifically in response to industry feedback.  The course is suitable for Modern Apprenticeship Programmes and learners who don't have access to NVQs through the work place.  The qualification provides the candidate with the opportunity to progress through different levels and increase their skills and knowledge in the engineering field.

Engineering Principles and Practice

Principle Units:
Principles of Mechanical Manufacture

Two Optional Units:
Milling
Turning

One further unit * from:
CNC Machining
Computer Aided Design

Assessment

Core units are assessed by an on-line computer multi-choice exam paper. The principle unit is assessed by a centre written exam.  All optional units are assessed by practical assignments.  On successful completion of two core units, one principles unit and three optional units a City & Guilds Certificate will be awarded.

What next?

With your C&G Level 3 Diploma you can progress to a HNC in Mechanical Engineering or HNC in Manufacturing Engineering
