The course builds on the knowledge gained at Level 2. It is divided into installation technology, electrical principles and practical work. These areas include: safe electrical site working, preparing to install and connect electrical wiring systems, inspecting, testing and commissioning and fault diagnosis. Learners must complete this and an NVQ at Level 3 to become a fully qualified electrician.
