Apply for this courseAbout this course
This course is designed to comply with requirements of the Domestic installers 'self certification' organisations, who currently require both the Domestic installers qualification and the latest edition of the wiring regulations (17th edition). The course covers all aspects of domestic installation work including earthing and bonding, shock protection, testing, risk assessment, lighting and power circuits. Learners will normally be working in domestic installation, such as kitchen/bathroom fitters or electrical installers who only work in this environment.
Entry requirements
Those considering this course must have experience of installing electrical equipment in the domestic environment. Some knowledge of the wiring regulations would also be an advantage.
Assessment
What next?
Following successful completion of this course, learners may like to consider C&G 2330 Electrotechnical qualification, which can be used as the underpinning knowledge for the NVQL3 qualification. This can lead to becoming a fully qualified electrician.
