About this course

Who should attend

Designed for people who work with individuals to support and assist them with their physical or emotional care, daily living needs or maintaining their independence, such as home care assistants, key workers, community support workers, healthcare assistants or residential and day service assistants. Carers would usually be working under direct supervision.

Course Content

To achieve the full qualification, learners must achieve a minimum of 46 credits, comprising 24 credits from the mandatory units (Group A) and a further 22 credits in combination from the optional units (Groups B and C).

The Learning and Skills Development Officer will provide support and guidance in selecting the appropriate units.
