posted on Tuesday 2nd February 2010

Performing Arts students tap-dance at the College's January 2010 Open Evening.Worcester College of Technology held one of their most successful open evenings to date on January 27th 2010. Students and parents travelled to the College from around Worcestershire and the surrounding counties to get more information on subjects and apply for their chosen courses.

Peter Robinson, director of Student Services commented, “January Open Evening was a huge success, with more students than ever before. At one point people were queuing out of the door in our St. Andrew's building.”

All subject areas made a huge effort to make the evening interactive with live performances from dance, performing arts and music. Performing Arts students acted out scenes from forth coming shows 'Daisy Pulls it Off' and 'Stepping Out', while dance students wowed with routines from their eagerly awaited recitals. College band ‘Divided We Fall’ played songs from their album while visitors explored the fantastic music labs and facilities.

High performance kit-car in the College's Automotive workshop. The engineering department had a high performance kit car to show students interested in motor mechanics what they could achieve with their future skills gained on Automotive Courses.

Worcester College of Technology are receiving high numbers of applications from school leavers for the time of year, and would like to remind you that applications are welcome from now onwards.

Peter Robinson also mentioned, “We know that many of our existing students speak highly of the fantastic support they get from tutors and the impact this has on their success in their studies and our reputation is spreading through word of mouth.”

Good luck to applicants we look forward to seeing you for interviews over the coming months!
