Undergraduate tuition fees

Financial Arrangements for 2012-2013
Major Government reforms to student financenow allow universities to charge tuition fees of up to £9,000 a year from 2012-13. Universities that want to charge more than the new basic fee of £6,000 will have to meet additional conditions to promote access for disadvantaged students.
Worcester College of Technology is looking to offer one of the best deals for students and their families as part of the new Higher Education finance arrangements. Tution fees at the college will be approximatly £5000 per annum. We are aiming to offer extensive financial support packages to ensure higher education is more affordable for all our students.
Financial Support Packages for full-time students:
-
No compulsory upfront contribution to tuition fees for any student or parents

Students can take out a loan to cover tuition fees and maintenance for living expenses, paying it back through the tax system after you graduate. Repayments will not start until you are earning over £21,000.
-
Some students will be entitled to a non- repayable maintenance grant, issued on a means tested basis.
-
There are additional funding streams available to students who qualify for the Disabled Students Allowance, Adult Dependants’ Grant, Childcare Grant and Parents’ Learning Allowance.
-
Looked after or in care students may be eligible for additional financial support.
-
Some students undertaking a higher education course in science, mathematics, engineering or technology (STEM) subjects may be able to apply for a non-repayable bursary.

Additional funding may be made available for students which could include support in terms of a fee waiver, scholarship or bursary.

Grants are also made available for our part time HE courses for both tuition fees and course expenses.
