Tuition fee remission

Full time or part-time students attending courses that are funded by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) may be eligible for tuition fee remission if they are:
- Starting a FIRST Full Level 2 course
- Aged under 25 yeas of age on the course start date and starting a FIRST Full Level 3 course
- Starting a FIRST level 3 course, but who do not already have a level 2 qualification
- On an “active” benefit – Job Seekers’ allowance or WRAG ESA.
If you feel you qualify for this remission in tuition fee you should enrol on the course of your choice, (provided it is SFA funded, ask at the College Office for confirmation if you are unsure) complete the application for remission and submit it to the College Office.
You must provide evidence of meeting at least one of the above criteria.
The remission cannot be given on fees that are not related to tuition e.g. examinations, registrations etc. If you are ineligible for fee remission you may be able to apply to the 19+ Discretionary Learner Support fund for assistance.
